In the face of the urgency of climate change, Colas undertook a strategic analysis in 2020 that resulted in the compilation of a low-carbon roadmap centred around five focus areas that were rolled out within its subsidiary entities, including Spac.

In December 2020, Colas announced an ambitious emission-reduction goal that is compatible with the Paris Agreement.
The activities of Spac are such that the organisation has significant interactions with biodiversity. Spac has also committed to a biodiversity strategy designed to develop and promote ecological niche areas.
